Pamela Skaist-Levy

Co-Founder of the Luxury Brand Juicy Couture

Pamela Skaist-Levy is one half of the duo that made Juicy Couture what it is today. Pamela and her co-founder, Gela Taylor, both grew up in Encino, California, wanting to be fashion designers but at their young age that was only a dream that they never thought would actually happen.

Pamela graduated from the Design and Merchandise Institute in Los Angles and worked in a boutique designing windows. Meanwhile, Gela got her theater degree and landed roles in the "Body Double" and the TV show "Hill Street Blues."

In 1997 the pair founded Juicy Couture, which soon developed from a self-made business to a worldwide business. In 2003 Fifth & Pacific Companies, Inc. (formerly Liz Claiborne Inc.) acquired the company, which they later sold to Authentic Brands Group for $195 million in 2013.
