Pamela Skaist-Levy

Co-Founder of the Luxury Brand Juicy Couture

Pamela Skaist-Levy is the co-founder of Juicy Couture, one of the most iconic fashion brands of the 2000s. Skaist-Levy and her co-founder, Gela Taylor, both grew up in Encino, California, wanting to be fashion designers. At their young age, that was only a dream that they never thought would actually happen.

In 1997 the pair founded Juicy Couture, which soon developed from a self-made business to a worldwide business. In 2003 Fifth & Pacific Companies, Inc. (formerly Liz Claiborne Inc.) acquired the company, which they later sold to Authentic Brands Group for $195 million in 2013. The pair have since founded a new brand, Skaist-Taylor.

Skaist-Levy graduated from the Design and Merchandise Institute in Los Angeles and worked in a boutique designing windows. Meanwhile, Taylor got her theater degree and landed roles in the "Body Double" and the TV show "Hill Street Blues."
