Speech Topics
Successful Grassroots Legislative Advocacy
A keynote that informs, motivates, and entertains. Real-life examples of how ordinary people can successfully influence their legislative and regulatory agendas. This keynote includes current, bi-partisan political humor. All humor is based on people's actions or decisions. No humor is based on things people did not choose, such as gender, mental capacity, sexual orientation, etc. The keynote includes two heartwarming stories about how ordinary people made and will keep America the GREATEST country in the world.
Patrick Haggerty is a 30-plus-year Washington, DC, political veteran. He was the Press Secretary for two Members of Congress, an advanceman for a US Senate campaign, and a journalist covering Congress, federal agencies, and the White House.
Election Analysis
Every four years, we add a day to the February calendar and elect a President. This keynote is an informative and entertaining look at past elections (Haggerty correctly called it for Trump in 2016 and Biden in 2020) and a preview of the issues and candidates in 2024. All the red states will vote for Trump, and all the blue states will vote for Biden. That means the election will be decided by voters of the six or seven true swing states. In those swing states, dedicated Democrats will vote for Biden, and dedicated Republicans will vote for Trump. Therefore, the winner of the 2024 presidential election will be selected by independents in six or seven states. The wild card is if Trump's legal problems overwhelm him.
The program includes current, bipartisan political humor. All humor is based on people's actions or decisions. NO humor is based on things people don't choose, such as gender, physical appearance, sexual orientation, etc.
