Patrick Park

Patrick Park was born in 1971 in Morrison.

Patrick Park was born in 1971 in Morrison, Colorado and grew up surrounded by music and creativity. Park's mother is a poet, and his father enjoyed playing guitar around the house. Park was exposed to a variety of musical styles, in particular folk and blues. Park has been writing songs since he was a young child and cliams that there “was nothing else that I really wanted to do—I was obsessed with it. I pretty much decided at the age of 13 or 14 that this was what I wanted to do.”

After playing in a number of bands in high school Park moved to New York to pursue his musical interests, but left for Los Angeles soon therefater. In 2000 Park released a EP with a collection of songs called “the basement tapes,” which brought some attention to his music. In addition, he began to play solo shows around Los Angeles and slowly build a following. Hollywood Records also took notice, and signed Park in 2003 and released his first album “Loneliness Knows My Name.” With the release of the album Park began to tour and won over crowds with his intimate performances.

Park parted ways with Hollywood Records after creative differences and signed to Curb Appeal Records and released his second album “Everyone's in Everyone” in 2007.The album was well received, making several year-end Best Of lists, and the lead rack, “ Life Is A Song” was featured as the final song on the television show The O.C. Parks's third album, and most current, “Come What Will” was released in 2010 on Badman Recordings. Park describes the record as a mix of “redemption and a rebirth” with a “healthy dose of regret.”
