Co-Host, NBC Sports' "Pro Football Talk"

Paul Burmeister is co-host for Pro Football Talk on NBCSN, alongside co-host and NBC Sports Group NFL insider Mike Florio.

Burmeister has served as a studio host and play-by-play announcer for NBC Sports Group since 2011, when he was the lead voice of NBCSN’s Mountain West Conference college football coverage. In addition, Burmeister has handled play-by-play duties for NBC’s coverage of the Bayou Classic and the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, and has also provided play-by-play commentary for NBCSN’s college basketball coverage.

Burmeister previously served as a studio host and anchor for several years with the NFL Network. Throughout his 10 seasons, Burmeister hosted NFL Total Access, NFL Gameday Scoreboard, Around the League Live, and NFL AM, providing fans with in-depth information and analysis during the season.

Each January, he anchored NFL Network’s coverage of Senior Bowl week, and from February through the NFL Draft, served as primary host of “Path to the Draft” since its launch in 2007. Burmeister has also handled play-by-play duties for NFL Network’s coverage of the Arena Football League in 2010, and called Arena Bowl XXIII and XXIV. His resume also includes play-by-play for the NFL Network’s Insight Bowl coverage in 2008 and 2009.

Prior to joining NFL Network, Burmeister served as a sports anchor at NBC affiliate KWWL in Waterloo, Iowa from 2001-04. He began his broadcasting career in 1998 at KCRG in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Burmeister was a quarterback at The University of Iowa, where he was offensive captain and MVP of the 1993 Hawkeyes. Following his collegiate career, Burmeister spent time with the Minnesota Vikings as a free agent.

Burmeister earned his B.A. in Communications studies from the University of Iowa in 1994, followed by a M.A. in Higher Education from the University of Iowa in 1997.
