Race relations in America is the central issue facing the nation. How we deal with race will define the character of Americans and determine whether or not we continue to see ourselves as a melting pot, taking the best from all who come here, or as a nation of racial division hiding behind walls of separation. The key to understanding race is to carefully consider the facts, history, and data that have led us to where we are today. Paul Lott founded the National Society for the Advancement of Black Americans (NSABA.ORG) to offer a different approach to race relations.

While BLM and the NAACP focus on blaming disparities in the Black community on race, Paul Lott has been working with parents and local groups to educate communities about the true causes and evidence-based solutions to the educational and economic challenges facing Black America.

Systemic Racism in American is a myth with no basis in fact. According to the U.S. Census, from 1959 to 1968, when the last landmark civil rights act was passed, Black poverty fell 20.3 percentage points to 34.7%; 13.3% of that progress took place in just three years from 1959 to 1962 before civil rights and under Jim Crow.

By contrast, White poverty only fell 8.8% from 1959 to 1968 to 10%. It has remained around 10% for 50 years before rising to 11.8% in 2018. Black poverty has continued to fall. In 2018, Black poverty was 20.7%. Since 1968 poverty has significantly decreased for all racial groups except White Americans.

Mr. Lott is a talented speaker who engages the audience by communicating complex ideas about race and racism in easy-to-understand language. Mr. Lott speaks on education, criminal justice, and issues regarding the wealth and ecumenic of the Black community from an evidence-based perspective that looks past race to the actual causes. In addition, he actively engages audiences in Q&A to dig deeper into audience interests.
