Healthcare Industry Expert, Policy Analyst, Editor of The Keckley Report

Dr. Paul H. Keckley is Managing Editor of "The Keckley Report," a weekly analysis of trends and issues in U.S. healthcare, and Managing Partner of The Keckley Group, which provides advisory services to health systems, medical groups, and healthcare investors. He is widely recognized as an industry expert on U.S. health policies specific to delivery and financing. His extensive experience includes facilitating negotiations between the White House and leading healthcare trade organizations during the passage of the Affordable Care Act in 2010.

In addition to his role at "The Keckley Report," he is a columnist for Healthcare Executive and contributes regularly to health industry coverage by CNN, Modern Healthcare, STAT, Health Leaders, Politico, Insider, Fortune, New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. He currently serves on the boards of several organizations including Sullivan Cotter, Chicago IL, CaroNova, Charlotte NC, and Constellation Quality Health, Greenville SC. He also serves as an advisor to Western Governors University, Erdman, and Sullivan Cotter, and holds advisory roles at Lipscomb University School of Business Health Management, Nashville TN and the Disruption Lab in Nashville TN.

Previously, Keckley served as Executive Director of the Navigant Center for Healthcare Research and Policy Analysis in Washington DC; Executive Director of the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions in Washington DC; and Executive Director of the Vanderbilt Center for Evidence-based Medicine in Nashville TN. He was also President of PhyCor Management Corporation in Nashville TN, and Principal of The Keckley Healthcare Market Research in Nashville TN. Additionally, he served as Adjunct Professor in Vanderbilt University’s School of Medicine, Owen Graduate School of Management, and in Georgetown University’s School of Health Policy.

Keckley holds a B.S. from Lipscomb University in Nashville TN, an M.A. and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in Columbus OH, and he completed a graduate fellowship at Oxford University, UK. His expertise spans over 45 years, focusing on clinical and technological innovation, regulatory policies, capital market shifts, competitive disruption, and public opinion impacting healthcare organizational strategies.
