Vice President, Public Safety And Homeland Security

Paul M. Joyal is responsible for supporting client market services in the public safety, intelligence, and security vertical on the State, Local, and Federal levels as the Vice President of Public Safety and Homeland Security National Strategies, Inc.

Before being elected to his current position in 2006, Joyal was Operations Director of Remington Elsag Law Enforcement Systems from 2004-2005. From 1990-2004 he was self-employed by the two companies he founded. Intercon International USA was founded in 1992, and he managed the company until 2003 during which time the company created a Moscow based data communication joint venture between AT&T, ROSNET and Intercon operating in 40 regions of Russia. Intercon also published the Daily Report on Russia and the Former Soviet Republics every business day, providing timely information in the areas of politics, economics, and business, for those who needed to be informed of ever-changing events as they happened in the former Soviet Union. He also founded and managed Integer Security Inc. which specialized in security assessments, counterintelligence investigation and education.

Prior to being self-employed, he served as the President of Sector Technology, which concentrated on fund raising and product development for new security products to new markets. From 1985-1989, he worked as the Director of Security for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. His work for the United States Capital Police as the Chief Investigator on the Capitol Bombing Investigation took place from 1980-1985.

Joyal has made numerous radio and television appearances as well as written many articles on the topics of intelligence, security issues, terrorism and law enforcement. His media appearances include: NBC, ABC, CBS news; CNN, Crossfire; CNBC, The Real Story; Lifeline, C-SPAN; PBS; BBC, World Report; ABC's Nightline; NET, Washington Watch; Worldwise; and Freedom's Call. His writings have been included in a variety of national and international publications, including an article that appeared on the op-ed page of the Washington Post.
