Producer, Comedian & Actor Known for His Roles in "Fresh off the Boat" and "Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp"

Paul Scheer is a native New Yorker who moved to Manhattan in 1994 to attend New York University. At the age of 19, he was asked to join the New York City’s longest running Off Broadway comedy show, "Chicago City Limits," he was the youngest performer ever to be accepted into the troupe.

In 1998 Paul joined the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater where he has appeared in over 40 comedy shows. He performs with Respecto Montalban, who have been called “Funny and Incredibly Talented” by Fox’s Good Day New York. In 2003 Respecto won an ECNY Award for best Improv Show and were nominated for best Comedic Group at the 1st Annual Night Life Awards. In addition to their 4 year (and still running) sold out weekly Improv show Respecto also group completed a 3 monthly sold out run on a political satire show with former Saturday Night Live head writer Adam McKay (Director/Writer of "Anchorman"). Paul also created and starred in the long running award winning variety show "Automatic Vaudeville" at the Ars Nova Theater which according to the Hollywood Reporter is one of the top five shows in the country.

Besides his work on stage, Paul can currently be seen weekly on VH1’s critical praised and highly rated, "Best Week Ever." Scheer has also written and performed on Comedy Central’s "Crossballs" and The WB’s "Make My Day" and CNBC’s "McEnroe Show" as well as "Impostor" and "Movie Junky" on TBS. In addition to those shows, Paul has done projects for Comedy Central, VH-1, Noggin, Oxygen and the TV Guide Channel and has made numerous appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

Paul can next be seen on in Fox’s "Onion: The Motion Picture" and starring in "Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story," which won the South by Southwest Film Festival and is currently being prepped for theatrical distribution. He also appeared in "Cubed," a short film in which is currently making rounds on the festival circuits as well.

In addition, Scheer has created a show for TBS with Whoopi Goldberg called "Sketch Off." He also stars in the series, "Fresh off the Boat." Most recently, he has played a part in the new Netflix original comedy, "Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp."
