Emmy-Nominated Chilean Actor Known for "The Mandalorian," "Narcos" & "Gladiator II"

In Pedro Pascal's early life, he studied acting at the Orange County School of the Arts, and later at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In the late '90s and 2000s, he began his acting career with roles in television shows such as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Touched by an Angel," "NYPD Blue," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and "Without a Trace." In 2009, he landed a recurring role in "The Good Wife" as Nathan Landry.

Pascal's breakthrough role came in 2014, playing Oberyn Martell in the fourth season of "Game of Thrones." In 2015, he joined the cast of the Netflix drama "Narcos" as Javier Peña. Pascal also took more film roles because of the higher profile afforded by "Thrones" and "Narcos," including action movies such as 2017's "Kingsman: The Golden Circle," 2018's "The Equalizer 2," and 2019's "Triple Frontier."

Pascal was elevated to A-list name recognition with some big roles in projects with high-profile IP. In 2019, the "Star Wars" series "The Mandalorian" debuted to critical acclaim and huge success for the Disney+ platform, with Pascal playing the under-the-helmet title role. Pascal also portrayed the villainous Maxwell Lord in 2020's "Wonder Woman 1984," along with tackling comedic roles in films such as 2022's "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent" and "The Bubble," as well as hosting a 2023 episode of "Saturday Night Live." The actor gained another wave of critical and commercial success starring in the 2023 HBO series "The Last of Us," a video game adaptation met with critical acclaim that earned him an Emmy nomination for lead actor in a drama series. In 2024, the star appeared in the Ridley Scott-directed blockbuster "Gladiator II" as Marcus Acacius.
