Pema Levy is a reporter at Mother Jones covering primarily political issues.

Prior to joining the staff of Mother Jones, Levy was the Washington correspondent for Newsweek, covering Congress, elections and dabbling in court battles and other political miscellany.

She also previously worked at the International Business Times, Talking Points Memo and The American Prospect.

A Los Angeles native, she attended Georgetown University and has lived in Washington, D.C., ever since.
