PETER GOLDENTHAL, Ph.D., has spent two decades as a practicing family psychologist specializing in parent-child relationships.

PETER GOLDENTHAL, Ph.D., has spent two decades as a practicing family psychologist specializing in parent-child relationships, positive discipline, childhood anxiety, sibling rivalry, adult sibling relationships, and contextual family therapy. He has also helped children, adolescents, and young adults overcome the challenges of Asperger's syndrome. The acclaimed author of BEYOND SIBLING RIVALRY – as well as the newly released WHY CAN’T WE GET ALONG – Dr. Goldenthal has proven that simple communication skills can help mend the deepest estrangement. He has been featured on The Today Show, and frequently serves as an expert consultant on parenting and family issues for publications like TIME, The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, Redbook, Good Housekeeping, Parents, Parenting, and Child. Additionally, Dr. Goldenthal has taught advanced students in psychology, pediatrics, and other fields at Bryn Mawr College, the University of Pennsylvania, Jefferson Medical College, and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Goldenthal received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Connecticut, and completed his fellowship training at Harvard Medical School. He holds Board Certification in both Clinical Psychology and Family Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology.
