World-renowned Golf Instructor; Golf Analyst for CBS Sports

Peter Kostis is a world-renowned golf instructor and commentator. He has been part of the Golf Digest's Professional Panel for over 20 years and served as head instructor of the magazine's instructional school's from 1978 to 1987. He became an on-course reporter for CBS Sports in 1992, while also serving as the lead golf analyst for the USA Network. In fact, many televised golf tournaments wouldn't seem right without a Peter Kostis appearance on the side of the fairways.

Kostis uses his sharp eyes and deep understanding of golf to not only deliver insightful commentary during CBS Sports golf telecasts, but also to help his students at the Kostis/McCord Learning Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. A Peter Kostis appearance on the covers of Golf Digest Magazine hasn't happened just once. It's happened seven times. He was also included in GOLF Magazine's "Top 100 Teachers," making him a prominent figure in the world of golf for more than just his broadcasting skills.

Kostis is recognized worldwide for his teaching abilities and witty commentating. He has taught and played golf in more than 28 countries and has instructed more than 125 PGA, LPGA, and SENIOR PGA Tour pros including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, Mark Calcavecchia, Davis Love III, Bernhard Langer, and Jumbo Ozaki. Peter has also taught well-known celebrities such as: Kevin Costner, Maury Povich, Dan Marino, and former baseball notables Jim Rice and Mike Schmidt.

After Kostis was diagnosed with colon cancer, he took the majority of the 2013 season off. He returned to CBS Sports the following year cancer-free.

He currently resides in Paradise Valley, Arizona.
