Peter is author of the book CatchFire: A 7-Step Program to Ignite Energy, Defuse Stress, and PowerBoost Your Performance, and co-author of the book Mentally Tough: The Principles of Winning at Sports Applied to Winning in Business. For twenty years, he has studied the leading research on individual and team performance, and created programs to help businesspeople improve their effectiveness.

Peter works with a broad spectrum of organizations, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. His clients include AT&T, American Express, Bank of America, Deloitte Consulting, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, IBM, Marriott, Merrill Lynch, Microsoft, Oracle, PaineWebber, Prudential, PepsiCo, RE/MAX, and Verizon. Peter’s work has been featured in USA Today, Fast Company, and CNN. His books have been translated into six languages.

Prior to his work in the peak performance field, Peter received a Master’s Degree and was on the faculty of Regis University in Denver, taught on the high school and college levels, and coached five sports. As President of McLaughlin Company Realtors for ten years, Peter managed three offices and was a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. His creative achievements in business led the Tarrytown Conference Center in New York to select him as “One of the Top 100 Most Innovative Executives in America.”

Peter’s organization, The McLaughlin Company, offers training programs and consulting services to help corporations maximize their employees’ performance. The McLaughlin Company is based in Denver, Colorado.
