Peter Navarro        

Economist, Former White House Advisor, Author

Peter Navarro holds a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University and is a professor emeritus at The Paul Merage School of Business, University of California-Irvine, where he taught for over 20 years. Navarro served as Assistant to the President, Director of Trade and Industrial Policy, and Director of the White House National Trade Council during the Trump Administration.

Navarro is the author of ten books, including "Death by China," "Seeds of Destruction," "Always a Winner," and "The Coming China Wars." His bestseller, "If It’s Raining in Brazil, Buy Starbucks," was published in 2001. His documentary "Death By China," narrated by Martin Sheen, won "best documentary" at the Durango and Studio City film festivals and is available on Netflix. His latest project is the book and companion documentary film series "Crouching Tiger: What China's Militarism Means for the World" released in November 2015.

In his role at the White House, Navarro advised on policies aimed at increasing economic growth, reducing trade deficits, and strengthening the U.S. defense industrial base. He played a key role in enhancing foreign military sales to allies and reforming arms transfer policies. Navarro's work extends to media, with regular appearances on outlets like BBC, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, and CBS News, including "60 Minutes." He is recognized for his simple yet effective method of economic forecasting and often emphasizes this in his speeches, focusing on themes such as Business Trends, Economics, Leadership, and Management.
