Peter Rawlinson is the CEO and CTO of Lucid Motors, which he co-founded in 2016 with a mission to develop efficient, high-performance electric vehicles and accelerate the shift to clean energy. Under his leadership, Lucid launched its flagship sedan, Lucid Air, acclaimed for its industry-leading range exceeding 500 miles and recognized as Motor Trend’s Car of the Year. Lucid Air is celebrated globally for its efficiency, sophistication, and innovation in sustainable transportation.

Before Lucid, Rawlinson was Vice President of Vehicle Engineering at Tesla, where he served as Chief Engineer for the Model S, leading it from concept to production. Earlier, he held senior roles at Jaguar, Lotus, and Corus Automotive, contributing expertise in advanced engineering and pioneering computer-aided design in automotive development. A graduate of Imperial College with a degree in mechanical engineering, Rawlinson is committed to advancing electric vehicle technology with Lucid’s latest project, Lucid Gravity, and expanding operations from their state-of-the-art facility in Arizona.
