English Writer, Director, Producer & Actress Known For Writing & Starring in "Fleabag"

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is an English actress, writer, and director. Waller-Bridge made her acting debut in the play Roaring Trade, and transitioned into television with roles in Bad Education and the second season of the television drama Broadchurch.

She made her film debut, voicing a character in the Star Wars spin-off about Han Solo.

In addition to acting, Waller-Bridge is a playwright and screenwriter, and artistic director,of DryWrite Theatre. Her work includes the sitcom Crashing, a series of plays titled Good. Clean. Fun., and the play Fleabag.

In 2016 Fleabag was adapted by BBC Three into a television show, in which Waller-Bridge played the starring role. The show wrapped up in April 2019 but received critical acclaim.

In 2019, she won two Emmy awards, one for Best Actress in a Comedy for her role in Fleabag and another for Writing for a Comedy Series for her work on Fleabag Episode 1. She won a Golden Globe award for her role in Fleabag as well.

Waller-Bridge also contributed to the screenplay of the upcoming James Bond film No Time to Die (2021).

Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2020.
