Author, The Self-Esteem Trap: Raising Confident and Compassionate Kids in an Age of Self-Importance

Polly Young-Eisendrath is a Jungian analyst, psychologist, author, and speaker. In these capacities and as a mindfulness meditation teacher, Young-Eisendrath combines knowledge and imagination in her contact with audiences. As a clinical associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Vermont and a consultant in leadership development at Norwich University, she is involved in academic and professional developments in relational leadership, contemporary psychoanalysis, and emotional intelligence as well as having a full-time practice in central Vermont. Young-Eisendrath has published 14 books that have been translated into more than 20 languages. Among them are Women and Desire, The Resilient Spirit, The Cambridge Companion to Jung, and The Self-Esteem Trap. She is currently working on a book tentatively entitled Love Is Not a Feeling.
