Having been burglarized four times and survived an armed attempted hijacking of his aircraft, it's no surprise the Preston has always taken a strong stance on law and order.

Having been burglarized four times and survived an armed attempted hijacking of his aircraft, it's no surprise the Preston has always taken a strong stance on law and order. He has been a guest on Court TV, and also featured in their I, Detective series, after the preserve arsonist claimed to burn down a house to force Preston to top talking about the case. The toughest sheriff in the country, sheriff Joe Arpalo, swore in Preston as a special deputy with the rank of captain in the Maricopa Country sheriff's department. Preston is a populist and revels in taking up popular causes. When interviewing guests like Hillary Clinton, Larry Kind, Jay Leno, Ted Koppel, Paul Harvey or Dan Rather, Preston's key to success is to reveal a side of the person that nobody has ever seen before. He appears frequently on MSNBC, and has been interviewed on National Public Radio, CBS Evening News, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek and every local TV station and newspaper. Preston lists the one-hour in-studio interview he had with Paul Harvey as his favorite. Preston did a string of reports from China's Yangzte river and has even broadcasts from nuclear submarines in the Atlantic to aircraft carriers in the Pacific. From inside Sea World's sub-zero penguin exhibit to the nation's capitol, his listener's never knew what to expect because Westmoreland often originated his show from hot-air balloons, gliders, biplanes, political conventions and even while locked up inside the Arizona state prison.
