Actress, Comedian & Multiple Sclerosis Spokesperson

Rain Pryor is an actress, comedian, and jazz/blues vocalist. She is the daughter of comedian Richard Pryor and has been performing since 1993. Pryor's television credits include the ABC series "Head of the Class" and "Rude Awakening," and she has also made appearances on popular talk shows like "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson," and "The Tavis Smiley Show."

In addition to her work on screen, Pryor has also made significant contributions to the world of theatre. She created and toured in the award-winning show "Fried Chicken and Latkes," and her stage credits include playing Billie Holiday in the UK tour of the "Billie Holiday Story" and the title role of Ella Fitzgerald in "Ella, Meet Marilyn." Pryor's book "Jokes My Father Never Taught Me," offers a personal insight into her experiences as the daughter of the famed comedian.

Her work as a speaker focuses on themes of multicultural diversity, family, and Judaism. Pryor has been recognized for her contributions to the arts and the community, receiving the 2008 Marin Services For Women Founders Award, the 2005 NAACP Theatre Award, Best Female Performer Equity, and the 2005 Invisible Theatre's Goldie Klein Guest Artist Award. In 2015, Pryor received the inaugural British Urban Film Festival honorary award on behalf of her father, Richard Pryor.

Currently residing in Baltimore with her husband and daughter, Pryor is an MS Ambassador and actively engages in advocacy work, hosting and speaking around the world to educate families and friends about MS treatment options and therapies in honor of her father, who suffered from the disease.
