Actress, Comedian & Multiple Sclerosis Spokesperson

Rain Pryor is an American actress and comedian. She is the daughter of comedian Richard Pryor.

She starred in the ABC series "Head of the Class" and "Rude Awakening". Pryor's stage credits include playing Billie Holiday in the UK tour of the Billie Holiday Story and the title role of Ella Fitzgerald in Ella, Meet Marilyn. Pryor is also a jazz/blues vocalist. She also wrote a book titled "Jokes My Father Never Taught Me".

Pryor speaks around the country on themes of multicultural diversity, family, and Judaism. She brings a unique and touching story to her talks.

She has won various awards including the 2008 Marin Services For Women Founders Award, the 2005 NAACP Theatre Award, Best Female Performer Equity, and the 2005 Invisible Theatre's Goldie Klein Guest Artist Award.

In addition Rain, is an MS Ambassador. Her commitment to fight for a cure of MS has her hosting and speaking around the world to educate families and friends about MS treatment options and therapies in honor of her father Richard Pryor.

An NAACP award-winning actress for her solo show "Fried Chicken and Latkes" and daughter of legendary comedian Richard Pryor, Rain Pryor gives fun and unique workshops on how to prepare and perform. Her successful acting classes in Baltimore led her to teach a Master Class in the art of solo show performance and preparation at Charms City's premier school for the arts, Baltimore School for the Arts.
