Raj Seshadri serves as Chief Commercial Payments Officer at Mastercard, where she oversees Commercial & New Payment Flows, ensuring that commercial and corporate clients enjoy a secure and streamlined payment experience. Her team’s innovations span areas such as B2B payables and receivables, fleet and virtual payments, and cross-border solutions, reflecting her focus on modernizing payment flows.

Previously, Raj led Mastercard’s global Data & Services team, enhancing client value with data-driven platforms, and earlier, as President of U.S. Issuers, she advanced Mastercard’s growth with banking clients. Before Mastercard, she held leadership roles at BlackRock, Citigroup, and McKinsey & Company, bringing deep expertise from finance, technology, and strategy.

A physicist by training, Raj earned her Ph.D. from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford, after completing her undergraduate degree in physics and mathematics at Mount Holyoke College. She serves on the boards of Raymond James Financial, the New York Philharmonic, and the American India Foundation, as well as her alma mater, Mount Holyoke.
