Rajia Abdelaziz

Co-Founder of invisaWear, Smart Technology for Personal Safety

Rajia Abdelaziz is a serial tech entrepreneur and the co-founder & CEO of invisaWear, a leading brand that creates smart jewelry & accessories with safety technology hidden inside. With just two clicks, invisaWear’s life-saving technology alerts friends, family, and even the police that the user is requesting help. At the age of 21, Abdelaziz developed this innovative technology, turning down a prestigious job opportunity with Google to pursue her passion for making a difference in the world. Her mission: to combat the alarming statistics surrounding sexual assault.

Within just a few years, Abdelaziz has successfully raised millions of dollars to bring invisaWear to market, growing the company to over 200,000 customers. She stands out as one of Massachusetts' most successful young entrepreneurs, breaking barriers often faced by women and minorities in the tech industry.

A trailblazer in technology and an empowering female leader, Abdelaziz was featured in the Forbes 30 Under 30 list - Social Impact category. She has also been named to INC magazine's Fastest Growing Companies, INC 5000, and INC Female Founders 250 lists. Additionally, she was honored on the Boston Globe's Tech Power Players list and recognized on BostInno's 25 Under 25. Under her leadership, invisaWear received Fast Company's Innovation by Design Award and won the prestigious New England Innovations Award --previously awarded to companies like Ben & Jerry’s, iRobot, and Vistaprint.

As a minority female CEO, Abdelaziz wants to inspire other young entrepreneurs to pursue their dreams, no matter the obstacles or doubts they may face. Her journey of overcoming the odds has fueled her passion for mentoring aspiring entrepreneurs through UMass Lowell’s DifferenceMaker program.
