Rajiv Jhangiani, Ph.D.        

Expert on Open Education; Associate Vice Provost of Open Education at Kwantlen Polytechnic Institute

Dr. Rajiv Jhangiani is the Associate Vice Provost of Open Education at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in British Columbia. His research and practice focus on open education, student-centered pedagogies and the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Jhangiani is a recipient of the Robert E. Knox Master Teacher Award from the University of British Columbia, the Dean of Arts Teaching Excellence award at KPU, and the award for Excellence in Open Education from BCcampus.

He is a co-founder of the Open Pedagogy Notebook and an Ambassador for the Center for Open Science. Jhangiani serves on the British Columbia Open Education Advisory Committee, and on the boards of Virtually Connecting, NOBA Psychology, Ubiquity Proceedings and KDocs Film Festival. He formerly served as a Special Advisor to the Provost on Open Education and a Psychology Instructor at KPU, Open Education Advisor and Senior Open Education Research & Advocacy Fellow with BCcampus, a Faculty Workshop Facilitator with the Open Textbook Network and a Faculty Fellow with the BC Open Textbook Project.

Jhangiani is also an author of psychology textbooks, including "Open: The Philosophy and Practices that are Revolutionizing Education and Science."
