Rakesh Mani is a management consultant, working with leading businesses to analyse their organizational challenges and help them chart new development plans. His expertise lies in international finance & economics.

He is also a columnist and writer, through which he explores development and policy issues in Asia. His op-ed pieces have been published by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Project Syndicate among other leading publications.

He has previously worked in the policy space as a consultant to the Government of India's Planning Commission, in the development sector at the Asian Development Bank in Manila & in the non-profit space with Teach For India in Mumbai. Within the finance sector, he spent several years working in the fixed income markets with J.P. Morgan in New York, and also did short stints with BlackRock and Deutsche Bank.

He served as a Fellow on the Board Of Directors of Chicago International Charter School until 2013, and was named as one of 3 finalists for the South Asian Journalists Association's 2013 awards for outstanding editorial & commentary. He was also named a 'Changemaker' by Ashoka India in 2012.

Rakesh holds an MBA from the Kellogg School, and a BS degree in Actuarial Science & Mathematics from New York University.
