At the age of 10, Ram was the recipient of a government scholarship obtained to do schooling at Budhanilkantha School in Kathmandu away from a remote school in Rukum district in western Nepal. He then won a scholarship to study the International Baccalaureate in the U.K and then attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on another full scholarship. Currently, Ram works for the Education sector of the World Bank. Ram is also working to provide quality class room education to the masses at an affordable cost by establishing Bloom Nepal School. The school has three founding pillars: specialized training, communication skills and languages and technical and financial assistance for the students
