Completed the Ironman Race after being Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis; Subject of the 2016 Film "100 Meters"

Ramon Arroyo has been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis since 2004. He is married and has two children. He currently works as head of strategic accounts in a multinational company.

Since 2008, he has participated in multiple races of 5+ miles, more than 15 Half Marathons and 4 Marathons. He has participated in triathlon trials at different distances up to the IronMan distance, which he successfully reached on October 6th, 2013, after months of effort.

The Ironman long-distance test consists of 2.5 miles of open-water swimming, 112 miles of road cycling and a foot race that covers the distance of a Marathon (26.2 miles). This discipline is considered one of the hardest tests in the sports world and currently only 4 people affected by MS have been able to perform it successfully, including Ramon.

His active sports practice has been considered by his doctors, psychotherapists, and physiotherapists as a fundamental pillar in the recovery after the outbreak and the level of quality of life that Ramon enjoys today.
