Ran'D Shine

Producer, Businessman & Magician

In the time that it takes you to read these words, Ran'D has already read your mind and likely figured out which card you will pluck from the deck a week from now. With the flick of a wrist, the Philadelphia native has become a global phenomenon by wowing the most diverse and wildly appreciative audiences for more than a decade.

His unique style and presentation so impressed President Barrack Obama that he was invited to be a special performer for the "Salute to Heroes" at the 44th Presidential Inauguration Banquet and Ball in 2009. Shortly thereafter he headed across the Atlantic to Capetown, South Africa, where he performed his one-man show, "Mysterious Ways", which was also selected for 20 performances at The South African National Arts Festival in Grahamstown.

As his fans will so gleefully attest, he is so much more than a magician. Ran'D prides himself on being an historian and 'educator of magic'. He has lectured on campuses throughout the Unites States as well as military bases in Japan, Guam, and Korea. Remarkably, he also finds the time to give back to his most adoring fans as a fixture at numerous hospital wards where he entertains children with terminal illnesses.

As one of the most sought after magicians on the college circuit, the pioneering performer continues to astonish and amaze audiences with his craft. His brand of magical comedy and entertainment has been on display at Hollywood's 'Magic Castle' as well as 'Monday Night Magic', New York's longest running Off-Broadway magic show.

Since 2004 he has headed 'Shine Entertainment'. Behind the scenes he has succeeded at wearing many hats. As a producer he has worked on such shows as "Collaboration", "Parallax" with fellow magician Francis Menotti, and most notably "Heart & Soul of Magic", a tour that featured a first ever collective of African American magicians from around the nation.

His reputation precedes him as a humble, hands-on business man with a great eye for detail. Between directing, marketing, advertising for events, auditioning talent, and hiring technical staff he squeezes in the time to consistently re-invent his own stage show.

With appearances on "The Art and Soul of Magic" documentary and NBC's '10 Show' to name a few, it is no wonder that colleagues and critics alike agree that Ran'D is the face of the new millennium magician.
