Randy Stumpfhauser

Randy had an interesting season in 2006 being in contention for all three major titles.

He started off almost winning the World Championships in Brazil, but fell short by just a few inches. The Elite Men's World Championship Title is something Randy has always wanted to win, so that was a tough one to take. He picked himself up and moved on concentrating on the rest of the NBL season taking home #3 for the year. He then finished the ABA season at the Grands with one of the biggest victories of his career in the AA Pro class and taking home the #2 Pro for the year.

In 2007 Randy is focusing on the NBL and UCI races. They are going to be important races and will be used to determine who makes the 2008 Olympic team. He just turned 30 and is working harder than ever to make sure he has the best chance possible to make the team. Randy said, "It‘s an amazing thing to have raced for this long and now have a chance to be in the Olympics, competing in the sport I have loved all of my life.”

Between being a husband, a father, training and racing, Randy's life is pretty full, though he says he wouldn't have it any other way. "There is nothing better than coming home after a hard weekend of racing to my wife and seeing the smile on my son's face. No matter what happened over the weekend, that will make me smile every time."
