Raphael is the founder and CTO of BillGuard, the company building the first ever "antivirus for bills" named "2011 Big-Data Startup of the Year" by O'Reilly Media, "2011 Top Startup of the Year Runner-up" by TechCrunch, and “Best of Show” at Finovate. Raphael started creating software professionally since he was 13. He was named Israel's Top Young Scientist in 2006 by the President and won the 2nd place at the Intel World Science contest. Raphael then established and managed "super hacker" teams as an officer in Israel's elite military intelligence unit. While there, Raphael architected and built massively scalable and secure intelligent data systems that have become standards and earned him the unit's highest honor as well as the President's Award for outstanding achievements. On the social front, Raphael founded Mission Intelligence, the first program to gather young talented students from all over the world to an elite High Tech bootcamp in Israel. Raphael is also a regular official speaker for Israel across Europe and in the US.
