Businesswoman, Former CEO of SlideShare

Rashmi Sinha is an entrepreneur, designer, and scientist. She was the cofounder and CEO of SlideShare, which was the world’s largest community for sharing presentations. SlideShare was acquired by LinkedIn in 2012. In 2012, Rashmi was named as one of ten Fortune Magazine Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs. She also has been named the World’s Top 10 Women Influencers in Web 2.0 by Fast Company and is a frequent speaker at technology conferences.

Rashmi writes about social software and entrepreneurship at her blog; Rashmisinha.com. She is involved in the HCI community, was one of the founding members of the Information Architecture Society, and co-chairs the monthly BayCHI talk series.

In 2014 Sinha and her husband Jonathan Boutelle started working on finding a cure for Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (SJIA) after their son was diagnosed with SJIA. In 2017, Sinha & Boutelle founded the SJIA Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit organization to expand & accelerate their work on SJIA.

She earned an M.A. and a B.A. in Psychology from Allahabad University and her PhD in cognitive neuropsychology at Brown University.
