Ravi Patel is an American actor. Born in Freeport, Illinois, Patel is of Gujarati Indian ancestry. Patel is most known for his roles in "Transformers" (2007), "Powder Blue" (2009) and "The Last Hurrah" (2009). Most recently, he has acted in Fox's "Grandfathered," a comedy starring John Stamos. In addition, Patel co-directed the 2014 film, "Meet the Patels," a romantic comedy about first generation Indian Americans attempting to find wives.

Patel co-founded "This Bar Saves Lives" with actors Ryan Devlin, Todd Grinnell and Kristen Bell. The company's mission is to end child malnutrition. For every bar bought, a packet of food is sent to a child in a developing country.

Patel graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with degrees in Economics and International Studies.
