Rebeca Moreno Jimenez

Rebeca, a Mexican national, joined the World Bank (WB) in November 2008. Until August 2013, she was in charge of the Public Information Center at WB's Mexico Field Office. Rebeca is the focal point for the national implementation of the WB Access to Information Policy in Mexico. Additionally, she assists the Communications team in the promotion of World Bank mission in the field, mostly working with civil society and media.

Prior to her work at the WB, she worked as an intern at the United Nations International Trade Center (Geneva) and at the Embassy of Mexico in the U.S. (Washington D.C.). She was also a research intern for the Federal Ministry of Social Development.

She studied B.A. in International Relations and a Master in Public Policy, both from Monterrey Tech Institute of Technology and Higher Education in the city of Monterrey. She has a Foreign Policy Certificate by American University and during summer 2008, she attended an Executive Education course in Harvard Kennedy School. In August 2012, Rebeca became a Fulbright Fellow to study at Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs this Fall 2013.

Aside from the Bank, she is the founder of "Oportunidades para Internacionalistas" facebook group, a platform to share youth professional opportunities in social media. More info about the project: http://bit.ly/OiHKLZ
