Singer-Songwriter & YouTuber Known for "Sugar Water Cyanide," "TRUST!" & "Friday"

Rebecca Black rose to fame in 2011 with her debut single "Friday," which went viral on YouTube and led to extensive media coverage. Her follow-up single, "Saturday," released in 2013 with Dave Days, charted on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 55. Black's debut studio album, "Let Her Burn," was released in February 2023. She continued to release music, including an EP titled "RE / BL" in 2017, featuring singles like "The Great Divide," "Foolish," and "Heart Full of Scars," and another EP in 2021 titled "Rebecca Black Was Here." As of January 2025, she has been active on YouTube for over a decade, amassing 1.53 million subscribers and 377.59 million total views.

Black made several notable appearances, including on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" in March 2011, where she performed "Friday" and discussed the negative reactions to the song. She also hosted MTV's first online awards show, the O Music Awards Fan Army Party, in April 2011. Her song "Friday" was covered on the TV show "Glee" in the episode "Prom Queen," and she appeared in Katy Perry's music video for "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)". In 2018, Black competed as a contestant on season 2 of "The Four: Battle for Stardom" and in 2022, she appeared in the Netflix series "Is It Cake?".

In the midst of legal disputes with ARK Music over rights to "Friday", Black established her own independent record label, RB Records. Her music has received certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America, with "Friday" receiving a Gold certification. In 2011, Black won the Teen Choice Award for Choice Web Star and was nominated for the Libera Award for Self-Released Record of the Year in 2022 for "Rebecca Black Was Here." She announced a 2025 tour in support of her EP, "Salvation," releasedd on February 27, 2025.
