Deputy Managing Partner of Greenspoon Marder

Rebecca Faith Bratter serves as the firm-wide deputy managing partner of Greenspoon Marder with over 18 years of tenure. She is responsible for the firm’s strategy and growth, internally and externally, as well as various duties including hiring and firm accounting. Ms. Bratter is the youngest leading member of the firm’s Executive and Management Committees, working closely alongside the co-founders. In her pivotal position of managing the day-to-day operations of a leading Am Law 200 law firm, Ms. Bratter serves on the firm’s Executive Litigation; Diversity; and Foundation Committees. She is managing partner of the firm’s Business Development group, where she assists attorneys in furthering their business efforts and expanding upon their existing clientele. Additionally, Ms. Bratter serves as the Practice Group Chair for the firm’s Financial Services practice group.

Prior to her role as deputy managing partner, she focused her practice on the defense of class actions involving non-profit debt management, for profit debt-settlement, and consumer trade practices. Ms. Bratter assisted clients with litigation involving highly regulated industries including health care, consumer finance, debt settlement, labor and employment and securities, and defended against federal and state government investigations for hospitality, timeshare, consumer finance and other industries.

In December of 2012, she started a charitable foundation called Kids Can, an organization that is based on the concept of kids ages 3-9, helping other kids and to unlock the potential in children, by empowering them to give back to the community and enrich the lives of those who are less fortunate. In 2017, Ms. Bratter was appointed to the Performing Arts Center Authority by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners. The board is charged with keeping the Broward Center vital and responsive. As the community evolves, the Performing Arts Center Authority helps to shape the Broward Center’s future.

In 2018, Ms. Bratter was listed among Benchmark Litigation’s “Under 40Hot List,” for a second consecutive year. She was selected as an “Influential Business Women” and “Power Leaders in Law” by the South Florida Business Journal and the recipient of the “New Leader Award” at the Florida Legal Awards for Professional Excellence by the Daily Business Review in 2017. For the last several years, she has been recognized among “Best Lawyers in America” in Commercial Litigation by U.S. News & World Report and as a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers.

She was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2003. Prior to obtaining her law degree, cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center, Ms. Bratter earned her B.A. in International Affairs from the George Washington University, Elliott School of International Affairs.
