Celebrity Fashion Designer Reco Chapple Hand Picked For ‘Sex and the City 2’ Cocktail Couture in Lagos Nigeria

Chapple is the only Featured U.S. Designer

Los Angeles, CA—Celebrity fashion designer Reco Chapple has been hand picked by Fashion Director, Ryan Christopher, as one of the four designers to be featured at the fashion show, “An Intimate Night Out” for the premiere of Sex and the City 2 on May 27 in Lagos, Nigeria.

“Reco Chapple came to my attention while watching The Fashion Show on Bravo TV,” says Ryan Christopher, Fashion Director. “When I was hired for this job, Reco Chapple was my only International choice.”

The black-tie fashion affair, with an 80’s theme, will celebrate four top Nigerian and International designers while mirroring the style of Sex and The City 2 costars fashion sense.

In addition, the night will also feature top-rated Nigerian musicians, with a special appearance by American R&B crooner Carl Thomas, and Nigeria’s own MI.

In his tenth year as creative director of The House of Chapple, Reco made his TV debut, grabbing a top-four finalist spot of 15 professional-designers, on BRAVO TV’s The Fashion Show, hosted by internationally acclaimed designer Isaac Mizrahi and four-time Grammy® Award-winning performer and actress Kelly Rowland, which premiered May 7, 2009.

His designs have been worn by the likes of Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland of Destiny’s Child, comedian Rickey Smiley, actress Vivica Fox, basketball star Tracy McGrady, rap artist Gucci Mane, and has styled a number of celebrities including rap star/actor T.I.

“I am honored to be handpicked and featured as the only U.S. designer at an upscale and innovative international platform as this,” says Chapple. “Although I’ve been featured in several elite events across the country, this event will always have a special place in my heart.”
