Reed Jobs

Venture Capitalist & Investor at Yosemite, Focused on Advancements in Cancer Research & Treatment

Reed Jobs is the managing partner of Yosemite, a venture capital fund with a mission to slash cancer’s mortality rate and turn it into a chronic condition like diabetes, cardiovascular disease and AIDS. Launched in August 2023, Yosemite works in late-stage academic research and for-profit company creation to invest in the most promising science from across the world to achieve this mission.

As the son of the late Steve Jobs and Laurene Powell Jobs, Jobs has leveraged his unique background to spearhead initiatives in healthcare that aim to bring transformative changes to oncology and precision medicine. His journey into cancer research is deeply personal. Inspired by his father’s battle with cancer, he studied history and international security at Stanford University before pivoting to healthcare. He went on to pursue a master’s degree in oncology, which laid the groundwork for his commitment to finding innovative solutions for cancer care.

Prior to founding Yosemite, Jobs was the Managing Director of Health at Emerson Collective for eight years, the philanthropic and social impact organization founded by his mother. There, he managed health and science programs, advancing grants and partnerships designed to accelerate breakthrough cancer therapies.

Under his leadership, Yosemite has quickly positioned itself as a force in both the biotech and venture capital spaces, aligning his personal mission with tangible investments aimed at making cancer a treatable and even preventable disease.
