Reem Gamil is the head of user experience (UX) and design for global payment products at Amazon. In that position, Gamil leads the charge on UX strategy, user research, interaction and visual design across platforms.

She is a passionate leader in the field of design who has proven her user experience expertise across strategy, design, research and execution of complex, multi-modal platforms.

Throughout her career, Gamil has shown an ability to lead high-performing teams in design projects and endeavors.

Before joining Amazon in 2016, Reem served as director of experience design for Vertafore; a Seattle-based SaaS company supporting the insurance industry. While there, Reem oversaw the customer experience for the company’s 25-plus product portfolio. In 2012, she served as a senior consultant at CGI in Toronto supporting industry verticals in both B2B and B2C domains including banking, health care, e-commerce and telecommunications.

In July 2019, Gamil started a position at the School of Visual Concepts in Seattle, Washington, as an instructor and advisor.

Gamil holds a master's degree in Strategic Design Management from the Parsons School of Design, as well as a bachelor's degree from the University of Toronto.
