Reggie D. Ford is the author of the bestselling book, Perseverance Through Severe Dysfunction, a memoir that details much of Ford's life told through the lens of mental health and social justice. He is also the founder and president of RoseCrete Wealth Management, a financial services firm that provides investment management and financial planning strategies for businesses, affluent professionals, and athletes.
"Ford grew up in the inner city of Nashville, Tennessee. His mother was resilient but emotionally detached. His father was incarcerated several times and was many times absent during his son’s childhood," writes Foreword Reviews.
As a first-generation college student, Ford holds his bachelor’s degree in economics from Vanderbilt University where he also played football. He then obtained his master’s degree in accountancy from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. Ford has been recognized as one of Nashville’s Black 40 Under 40. He was also nominated for Forbes 30 Under 30 and in 2020, Ford was featured in the Top 100 People in Finance magazine.
Susceptible to falling victim to countless statistics as a Black man in America, Ford broke the cycle of poverty and trauma through his determination, resilience, and support systems as highlighted in his memoir.
From a community perspective, Ford co-founded a scholarship fund, serves on the board of several nonprofit organizations and is a member of the Phoenix Club of Nashville. He is also a certified yoga instructor and leads classes for people of all backgrounds including children from historically disenfranchised communities. Ford delivers keynote speeches on various topics ranging from business and finance concepts to discussions about mental health and DEI initiatives.
He enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with family and friends. Ford lives in Nashville with his wife Katie and their dog, Rosie.
