In 2001, Reiko auditioned for the role of Nina Myers on '24,' but lost out to Sarah Clarke. The next season, she auditioned for the part of Kate Warner, the sister of bride-to-be Marie. The part went to Sarah Wynter. The producers remembered Reiko, however, and cast her in the role of Michelle Dessler, the tough-yet-sensitive CTU agent.

Now, Reiko has received Golden Globe nominations as well as critical and popular acclaim as part of a hit television show. Yes, sometimes Hollywood IS magic.
