Ricardo Teran  

Co-founder and managing director for Central America

is the co-founder and managing director for Central America of Agora Partnerships, a nonprofit dedicated to fighting poverty by unleashing the potential of developing-world small-business entrepreneurs to help solve economic, social, and environmental challenges. Ricardo is a fellow of the Central American Leadership Initiative of the Aspen Institute and has been honored with numerous other fellowships and awards, including at the Clinton Global Initiative, the Summit Series, and the Confederacion Iberoamericana de Jovenes Empresarios in Spain; he was also a finalist for the John P. McNulty Prize. This year, Ricardo was invited as a panelist to the Harvard Business School’s XII Latin America Conference and has been selected as 2010 Yale World Fellow. Ricardo has started several companies, including an Internet satellite company, a women’s clothing franchise, and an alternative media company.
