Character Actor, Best Known for "Mad About You" and "Spin City"

Richard Kind is an acclaimed actor known for his versatile performances across film, television, and stage. Raised in a Jewish family, Kind developed a passion for performing arts early in his life. He attended Northwestern University, where he nurtured his acting skills and graduated with a degree in theater.

Kind's breakthrough came with his role as Dr. Mark Devanow on the popular NBC sitcom "Mad About You." This role showcased his talent for comedy and earned him widespread recognition. Concurrently, he gained further acclaim for his portrayal of Paul Lassiter, the bumbling press secretary on the ABC political sitcom "Spin City."

Throughout his career, Kind has demonstrated remarkable range, seamlessly transitioning between comedic and dramatic roles. His film credits include notable performances in the Coen Brothers-directed "A Serious Man" and the critically acclaimed "Argo," directed by Ben Affleck. Kind's television work extends beyond his famous sitcom roles. He has made memorable guest appearances over the years on shows like "Scrubs," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and "Gotham" and he appeared in the fourth season of "Only Murders in the Building."
