Mr. Richard I. Lesser, Rich has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of The Boston Consulting Group since January 1, 2013. Mr. Lesser served as a Senior Partner and Managing Director at The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. until January 1, 2013. Mr. Lesser is the leader of BCG's New York office and is a core member of the Health Care and Consumer practice areas. His project experience includes work on strategy and corporate development, as well as several major organizational-and operational-change efforts. He worked on a large-scale postmerger integration, brand and channel strategies, alliance development, marketing and sales improvement, and e-business strategy. Prior to joining BCG in 1988, he served as a Process Development Engineer and Group Leader at Procter & Gamble, where he led several projects aimed at reducing product costs and introducing new products. He has also worked in synthetic fuels R&D at Westinghouse Electric and BP. He has been the Chairman of North and South America Operations at The Boston Consulting Group since 2009. Mr. Lesser served as Director of The Harvard Business School Club of Greater New York, Inc. Mr. Lesser holds an M.B.A. with high distinction from Harvard Business School, where he was designated a Baker scholar. He earned a bachelor's degree summa cum laude in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan
