Lovett runs an 1,800-employee, 5,000-client mega-agency from the sleek "Death Star" building in Century City. With an industry-leading motion picture division (Jennifer Lawrence, J.J. Abrams), a TV unit that packaged Empire, Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, dominant positions in music and sports and even a merchant bank (Evolution), CAA competes in each category of representation around the world. Since selling 52 percent of the agency to TPG Capital in 2014, CAA has failed to grow as quickly as archrival WME-IMG has as they both consider possible IPOs, but it's still a hugely influential company with its tentacles in every aspect of entertainment.
