Rick Belluzzo
Former CEO of Quantum, Microsoft Executive, Venture Partner
Rick Belluzzo is a seasoned tech executive with extensive experience across various leadership roles, including three-time CEO, board member, investor, and venture partner. He began his career at Hewlett-Packard, dedicating 23 years to the company, with a significant focus on leading and building the Printing and PC business. Belluzzo also held pivotal positions at Microsoft, where he was Group Vice President of the Consumer Organization before advancing to President and COO. Additionally, he led significant transformations at SGI and served as CEO for Quantum Corp for nine years, and briefly as Interim CEO of Viavi Solutions.
Belluzzo currently serves as a US Venture Partner for Innogest SGR SpA, a role he has held since 2015, focusing on supporting technology companies in achieving global success. He also maintains active involvement as a board member on several public companies, sharing insights gained from a career rich in creating cultural and business transformations within the technology sector. He has also been a strategic advisor for the Gores Group and served as chairman of JDSU and vice chairman for Bravosolution.
Aside from his corporate achievements, Belluzzo is committed to mentoring young entrepreneurs and investing in the next generation of leaders. He authored "Hard Headed and Soft Hearted: Lessons from the Boardroom to the Break Room," sharing principles that balance IQ and EQ for long-term success. Known for his engaging speaking style, Belluzzo is highly regarded for his ability to address complex topics like cultural transformation and business strategy with clarity and insight.
