Rick Cosnett was born on April 6, 1983 and grew up in Zimbabwe before moving to Australia and studying BFA Acting at QUT.

He now lives in the USA. His work began in the theater and has spread into film and television and producing.

His big break in America came with his 12 episode stint on the CW's "The Vampire Diaries." He is now part of the CW family and will next appear on the network's, "The Flash."

His great grandfather was the head of the Royal School of Music. He has 2 sisters and is a cousin of Hugh Grant.
