Author, ‘The Agile Consultant’, Enterprise Agility Consultant

Rick Freedman is the author of 'The Agile Consultant', targeted to coaches and consultants guiding clients to agility. He consults with enterprises worldwide to guide agile transformations, and to help teams adopt agile mindset and practice.

He plays every role required, from trainer to scrummaster to strategic agile coach. With 30 years experience, he brings mature consulting skills to his engagements. He's held project director positions at firms like Intel, Cap Gemini, NEC, and Citicorp, and he's experienced the transition from traditional project methods to agility. At Intel his team created the Intel Solutions Methodology, a lean process for delivering IT projects with discipline.

His clients include J.P. Morgan Chase, State Street Bank, AIG, Microsoft, HP, SEGA, Credit Suisse, U.S Dep't of Treasury, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and People's Republic of China.

He's been writing on project management and agile topics since 2000 for publications like TechRepublic and DZone, and frequently present at agile and Project Management Institute conferences. I’ve written three previous books on IT consulting. His course "Consulting Skills for IT Professionals" has been presented to thousands of IT experts across the U.S. and around the world. In partnership with O’Reilly Publishing, he presents a monthly series of project management webinars to their international clients.
