He is probably best known for his roles in daytime drama where he was last seen as Jake Martin in ABC's All My Children. When news came early in 2011 that the network was cancelling the show, Goldin announced that he would also be leaving daytime Michael Fairman On Air Ricky recently returned to national TV as host of HGTV's new prime time show Spontaneous Construction which premiered on the network on February 15, 2013 IMDb reveals that Ricky has also been executive producing for the STYLE Network.

Ricky is the nephew of movie producer Jake Gold (Guns of Navarone fame) and was already producing in his 20s, while also establishing himself on Broadway and TV. He teamed up with Gabe Sachs of Sachs/Judah and together they produced the reality dating show Street Match for ABC Prime time IMDb. Goldin also partnered with Bruce Nash of Nash Enterprises for a TV pilot called Wired & Fired. Next, Ricky came up with a combo of computer game and prime time TV and produced You Don't Know Jack. In 2001 Ricky co-created and produced a variety show-style pilot for Viacom called FLY TV. Two years later, Ricky spent time on location in Dubai producing ESPN2's The Celebrity Arabian Adventure, and the in-flight programming for Emirates Airlines. A half-hour comedy pilot Knockouts starring Lou Rawls lead to collaboration with Emmy award winning writer Maxine Lapidus on a one-hour dramedy entitled Doin Life.

Ricky's father Dr. Paul Goldin, a globally respected PhD, hypnotist and a Master of the paranormal passed away in 2008. Armed with insights in to the paranormal gleaned from his father's journals, Goldin set out to honor his father's dying wish: "Pop wanted me to do a show where I'd hit the road to look at unexplained mysteries – psychic phenomena, people with unusual powers, people who've survived extreme situations. He wanted me to shine a light on those who are the real deal and to out the fakers and the frauds." (interview with TV Guide) Ricky created and produced Seeing VS Believing. After leaving All My Children in September 2011, Goldin was seen on the internet in an on-line advertising web series that was a joint venture between Kellogg's and Disney Family. Ricky appeared in a parody of daytime drama entitled The Young and the Breakfast.

Goldin has appeared in several made-for-TV movies, including The Face in 1996 with Yasmine Bleeth. That film was also called A Face to Die For. Goldin also appeared in the made-for-TV movie entitled Talk to Me in 1996, again with Yasmine Bleeth. Among his movie credits, Goldin was seen in Lambada, and The Blob IMDb.

At aged 15, Goldin made it to Broadway and starred in On Golden Pond. In 1994 Ricky found himself back there when he starred as Danny Zuko in the Broadway revival of the iconic musical Grease. During his run, Ricky gave command performances for four US Presidents. He followed up with the starring role in the Gilbert & Sullivan operetta Pirates of Penzance in London and Dublin, Ireland. Goldin has also appeared in several off Broadway productions: Nest Of The Wood Grouse, Feathered Serpent, Happy Journey, Queens of France, Long Christmas Dinner, and Our Town.

In 1985, Goldin starred in the short-lived ABC sitcom, Hail to the Chief, playing the son of the first female President of the United States (played by Patty Duke). Also in 1985 Goldin appeared in Season 2, episode 27 "Final Approach" of MacGyver as Tommy a troubled youth in a gang. He also appeared in one episode of ALF, as Danny Duckworth (Linn's boyfriend). Goldin also had a recurring role on the 1980s sitcom Kate and Allie as Allie's daughter Jenny's boyfriend, Jason IMDb.

In daytime drama, Ricky Paull Goldin is probably best known for his role as Gus Aitoro on the longest-running, but now canceled, soap opera Guiding Light on CBS. He portrayed the role from 2001 until his character was killed off on April 1, 2008. Goldin was twice nominated for an Emmy as Outstanding Lead Actor for his work as Gus Aitoro (in 2003 and 2007). Goldin appeared in several promotions on behalf of Guiding Light. In 2005, fans voted Goldin and former co-star Beth Ehlers and their characters, Gus and Harley, as the top couple in "The Most Irresistible Combination" contest (which was partially sponsored by Procter & Gamble, the company that produced Guiding Light). Goldin appeared in a promotion for the product "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter", which was also being promoted by Procter & Gamble.

Prior to Guiding Light, Goldin was best known for portraying Dean Frame on the NBC daytime drama Another World, a role he played from 1990 to 1993, from 1994 to 1995, and again briefly in 1998. He also appeared on the CBS top daytime drama The Young and the Restless as stalker Gary Dawson (1999–2000) IMDb.

On March 5, 2008 (a week after he announced he would be leaving the role of Gus on Guiding Light) Goldin joined All My Children in the recast role of Dr. Joseph 'Jake' Martin. In 2010, he was nominated for his third Daytime Emmy, his first for his work on All My Children, in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category. In 2011, he was nominated again, this time in the Outstanding Lead Actor category for All My Children. Ricky remained with All My Children thru to the final episode on September 23, 2011. Ricky Paull Goldin started his entertainment career at the age of three. He appeared in Romper Room and accumulated appearances in 150 TV commercials by the time he was 18, picking up four CLIO awards along the way.

Goldin was born in San Francisco, California, the son of British-born parents PJ Goldin, an actress, and Paul Goldin. His uncle is British film director Jack Gold.

Ricky and his fiancée, TV fashion personality Gretta Monahan, are parents to their son Kai Rei Goldin, who was born October 21, 2010 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA, weighing 9 lbs. 11 oz.
