Rico Nasty is the queen of punk rap. After years of inciting mosh pits internationally, she has successfully created her own lane as an artist. Grammy nominated and hailing from the DMV, RICO NASTY released her first viral hit,"iCarly", in 2016; quickly followed by "Hey Arnold" which later featured Lil Yachty on the remix. On her Summer Headline Tour following the release of her 2018 album under Atlantic Records, "Nasty", she sold out at SOBs in New York, The Fillmore in D.C., Lincoln Hall in Chicago, Brighton Music Hall in Boston, MA, The Loft in Atlanta, GA, The Parish Room in New Orleans, LA, The Vera Project in Seattle, WA and Echoplex in Los Angeles, CA. On top of that, she has performed at several major domestic and international festivals, including Coachella Music Festival, Buku Music Festival, and Primavera Festival in Barcelona, Spain.
In addition, Rico Nasty has been coming into her own as an entrepreneur. Last September, she released her first makeup line in collaboration with Il Makiage, which quickly sold out. With palette names like “Bitchcraft” and “Rave Kween,” the collection worked in tandem with her rocker style and unapologetic attitude. The rapper has also built a serious presence in the fashion/beauty realm and in 2019, was named a brand ambassador for Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty. In October 2020, she was granted the opportunity to walk in the brand’s second annual fashion show, which was streamed globally via Amazon Prime for the first time.
Since her formal debut in 2016, Rico has become a favorite in the press, covering a number of magazines in her signature style, including The Fader, NME, Acclaim, and XXL as a 2020 Freshman. With over 4.3M monthly listeners on Spotify, press accolades such as features on The FADER's Summer Cover in 2018 and her documentary “Countin’ Up”, RICO NASTY has secured her spot as one of the most compelling voices in hip hop. She recently released her debut album, "Nightmare Vacation" which features Gucci Mane, Trippie Redd, Don Toliver & Aminé, unveiled in December of 2020 and heralded as her most raw body of work to date.
