Rita J. King      

Co-Director & EVP for Business Development at Science House

Rita currently serves as Futurist at NASA Langley’s think tank, the National Institute of Aerospace. She served as Innovator-in-Residence at IBM Analytics Virtual Center for three years. She is a member of the Association of Professional Futurists and a former Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs, where she explored the future of global collaboration through experimental work in immersive digital environments paired with field work across four continents. She’s currently a Salzburg Global Fellow with a focus on the future of intercultural collaboration through art and science.

Rita is a former investigative journalist on the nuclear industry. Features by her or about her work have appeared globally, including on or in Forbes, CNN, Fox News, The BBC, The Guardian, The Christian Science Monitor, The Village Voice, The Atlantic, The New York Times and The New York Times Magazine, Scientific American, and TIME. In 2006, she founded Dancing Ink Productions, a company focused on shaping the new global culture and economy with clients such as IBM and ManpowerGroup. Rita co-directed the interactive education project “IMAGINATION: Creating the Future of Education and Work.” She is the creator of The Imagination Age and a LinkedIn Influencer.
