RJ the Magician is a rising star in New York City. In a life threatening trek across the country from Wisconsin (Home of Houdini) RJ moved to NYC in August of 2019. With no plans and virtually no money, RJ first received recognition being hired as the Director of the Houdini Museum of NYC at the age of 23. RJ has since been featured in Time Out, Complex, A.M. New York, Fox NY, NBC NY, TED, NPR, and the New York Times. RJ is a very vocal supporter of the fight for equality and is known for his support of women, Black people, and the LGBTQ+ community.

RJ's style can best be described extremely animated performances combined with, fresh comedy punctuated with a dazzling smile. RJ also hosts his own podcast called "I Hate Everyone" and is a writer and Historian. He's known to speak and write on topics from racial injustice to magic and business. In 2016 RJ gave a TED Talk Entitled The "Ham Sandwwich," and has been a guest on multiple podcasts and radio shows including New York Public Radio's Livestreamed show "The Greene Space." RJ is known as one of the foremost experts on the history of Houdini as well as the History of Black Magicians. He was featured in the Smithsonian Channel's "The Curious Life and Death" (2020) as a Houdini Expert.
